I cannot say enough good things about this cruise and highly recommend it. The staff made us feel very special from the pickup at Basel right through to our departure at Amsterdam. Everything was taken care of smoothly and exceeded our expectations. Having our room cleaned at least 3 times a day was wonderful! There were always clean towels and supplies when we returned from either a meal or excursion.

This was our first cruise and we thoroughly enjoyed every stop along the way, the knowledgeable tour guides and attention to detail by the staff and crew. We were treated royally and lived the fact that all meals were served either in the dining room and lounge, so we could choose our style each day.

The Kara was a smooth ride and we hardly knew we were moving, if we didn't look out the window! The Program Director ensured there were tours for all tastes - going above and beyond to offer tours not on the itinerary. Needless to say, we are sold and will take another Viking River cruise.
