This was our first trip to the Bahamas. Although we were greeted in a friendly manner upon arrival, most of the staff was not courteous or helpful on the cruise. They made you feel like you had no business asking us such a stupid question. The activities on the cruise were boring and too short...felt like Sesame Street.
The food was average to terrible. Their fruit was mostly frozen, no fresh (berries). Every buffet felt like the same food each day. The dining room food was average and very, very small portions. The BBQ on the deck the first two nights were awesome. The pizza near there was like crackers with pizza toppings on it. My husband ordered fish one night. It may have been a 3 oz piece with 3 small pieces of potato. One day for breakfast we ordered hash browns. They were 2 round pieces about the size of a 50 cent piece and didn't even taste like potato. The servers in the dining rooms were great. I think because we got free drinks that they skimped on the food. Reminded me of Circus Circus buffet in Vegas.
Public restrooms...yuk. Not one had paper for toilet seats or paper towels behind the door to hold the handle as you leave. No sanitizers by bathroom door. The bathroom by the casino is the biggest joke. The front of the toilet is so close to the door that you had to sit sideways to use it. Paper was all over the floor and the floor was wet and dirty.
Cabin was small no room for storage. The biggest problem with the room was that the a/c was not working and it was hot, stuffy and smelled like stale air. We called one night because it was so hot in there and no one came to fix it. It was the coldest night outside too, so I am not sure why it was hot in the room. I could barely breath. In the morning, I woke up sick and ended up at an urgent care in Orlando after we docked.
very nice, the driving was funny and interesting and we had time to explore ourself
