Why? I can reach them when I call with a question. They take care of the details. I have been on five Viking River cruises in the past. I was ready to try their new fleet of ships with only 900+ passengers. I been on other cruise lines with around 2800 passengers.

Viking ships are new with Dutch interior design. Lots of places outside your room to sit and view the Mediterranean or read a book. Crew well trained. Food very good. Restaurant seating for dinner was not congested and dining rooms were more intimate. Not a huge open area like the bigger ships. You easily had tables of two or eight. Their Viking sauna was incredible. We used the indoor therapy pool almost every day after touring before dinner.

We did not use outdoor pools because of the time of year. The tourist crowds were not present and thus walking tours were not crowded, the highways were not crowded and the weather was sunny and 60's.
