This is our third cruise and our first on a Royal Caribbean vessel. We were not the only ones with our observations as there was a lot of reference to how much better Carnival was. With that said, let me explain. This ship is old and outdated with few amenities of most other vessels. The cabin was smaller than our other cruise experiences even though we paid for an upgraded floor and cabin. We saw our room steward twice: once when we arrived and when he delivered our purchases liquor. The staff started moving around at 4 am each morning because that is when I started hearing the "staff" access door slamming open and closed everyday. Quiet it is not. Not even a towel animal during our visit or chocolate on the pillow. (YES, Carnival does this.)

The food selection was pretty much limited to the buffet on deck 11 and the dining room. The food was actually pretty gross in buffet compared to past experiences. The dining room was not bad but still not as good as previous cruises. The best food of the cruise was Johnny Rockets which is a diner on the ship that you have to pay a cover charge to eat in and are limited to on quantity. There is also the pizza place that is still more limited hours than other cruises we have been on. ICE CREAM! The food of cruises. There was one machine that was broken or not open the majority of the cruise and a staff member was making all the ice cream cones. It was also located in a bad stop causing traffic jams on the only stairway up to the next deck.

We were supposed to stop at the "private" island of Coco Cay but due to weather pressed on to Nassau. We arrived at dinner time but the whole town shuts down at 6-7 pm so it was a wasted night in port. Nassau is pricey if you want to do an excursion. We did find our own fun and a nice beach that only had about 20 people on it despite 4 cruise ships being in port that day. We checked out a zoo that is about a 20 minute walk. We did local stuff and really enjoyed our day but everything started closing about 4:30 and was shut down by 7 even though we didn't leave port till midnight.
