We arrived In Miami on 2/21/2009 we Flew Via Jet Blue this was a great flight we left Newark on time and arrived in Miami on time, Our driver from LeBlanc Limo was already at Baggage claim with a sign with our name in it when we arrived there, The driver was polite and courteous and told us a little about Miami I would highly recommend this company. We went directly from the airport to our Hotel we had a reservation at the Holiday Inn Port of Miami Downtown the room was plenty big enough for myself and my husband and there was even a large closet in the room for all our luggage. The staff at the Hotel was great everyone was very polite and helpful. We ate at Bubba Gumps for dinner I don't think I would go there again it was very overpriced but the food was good.

2/22/2009 went over to Bayside to the Latin American Cafe they open at 8:00 AM we sat outside and had breakfast and you could see the cruise ships in the port it was a beautiful quiet morning my husband and I had eggs and bacon with cuban bread my husband had regular coffee and I had the cuban coffee It was out of this world the cost of breakfast was 5.99 per person what a deal and it was a great way to start off the morning. Embarkation was not a big deal to me but since I have nothing to compare it too it was a walk in the park to me, you enter the terminal building and fill out a health questionnaire then we went through security, after security we went to a desk and presented our boarding documents and had our pictures taken, we then went upstairs to get our room cards, we then waited to be seated to get on the ship we sat for about 45 min they then told us we could get on board I thought this was a very easy process. Once on board we had to wait for our room to be ready it was not available until 2:00PM in the mean time we walked around the ship took a tour of the spa area we had lunch in the garden Cafe the food was very good, At 2:00PM there was an announcement that the rooms were available and we proceeded to our room to drop off our carry on luggage. We stayed in a inside cabin 9589 this room was plenty large enough for the 2 of us and I discovered that you can put you carryon luggage in the selves in the bottom of the closet and this frees up other space in the closet for other things. Our cabin Stewards were very nice and I had no problem understanding them. I did ask for a feather pillow and when we returned to our room later it was there, The Bed was so comfortable we both loved it. We went to Cagneys for Dinner the First night I had Filet and my husband had a ribeye they were both great and the service was very good I had creme Brulee for dessert wow was that delicious after dinner we walked around the ship some more and then we went to a show and then went back to our room for the evening. 2/23/2009 this was a sea day we had a Cruise Critic Meet and Greet it was held in the Bliss Lounge they has coffee and pastries out for all the CC members and we were able to meet some of the people on the Pearl and they told us about the ship It was nice to put a face to all the CC members after the meet and greet we walked around the ship some more and then went to the pool to cool off before we headed to dinner at Teppanyaki this meal was great also and the show from the chefs was worth the cover charge. 2/24/2009 . We ate at Mambo's this evening The food was very good but I was feeling a little green from the ship rocking and did not have much of a appetite our server was great she even got me some green apple she said it helps with sea sickness but overall the service and food were great here also. 2/25/2009 For Dinner we went to Lotus garden again the food was excellent and the Servers were fantastic very attentive I was feeling much better at this point since I had put on my Scopalamine patch. 2/26/2009 We left early to get back to the ship that evening we renewed or Wedding Vows Thanks to Coka and her sister we then went and had pictures taken in the crystal atrium we were approached by one of the ships officers and he asked why were all dressed up we explained it was our anniversary and he asked if we had dinner reservation We told him we were going to Le Bistro and he told us there would be a bottle of champagne waiting for us for dinner Le Bistro was very elegant and the food was delicious our server was fantastic I could not have asked for better service, after sinner the brought a cake out for our anniversary and they sang to us. 2/27/2009 we went to the Garden Cafe as we did all week long for breakfast I thought the food was very good and there was plenty to go around and there were so many choices we liked to sit outside and eat breakfast and just enjoy the sun we then just hung out and walked around the ship for a while we also spent a few hours in the casino and we won 3 bottles of champagne of which I gave 2 away to other couples on the ship 2/28/2009 we hung out by the pool this day and just relaxed again all the employees on the pearl were attentive I know they are trying to get you to but the drinks that they are hawking but if you tell them no they will pretty much leave you alone, we went to the Summer Palace for dinner, and again the food was great I took one of the bottles of champagne with us and we had that at dinner again our server was great 2/29/2009 we went back to Le Bistro for dinner because my husband enjoyed it so much he wanted to go back there again this time I tried the Escargot and they were very good I would eat them again. the service was excellent again 3/1/2009 back to Miami we self disembarked and getting off the ship was a breeze we then found our bus and waited for it to fill up before heading off to the Fort Lauderdale Airport It was very hard to leave the Pearl every employee on the ship was above reproach very kind and friendly smiling and saying hello if you needed help they were more than willing to help you, Would I go back on another NCL cruise Absolutely it was the most relaxing vacation of my lifetime and My husband wants to book another one already.
