We had never been on an ocean cruise, but we have done three Viking river cruises, more than pleased w/ each of them, so we decided to try Viking Star and Empires of the Mediterranean. We stayed two nites in Venice before embarking Star. Venice was beautiful and wonderful!

All excursions, paid and included, were exceptional! The guides were well-informed and friendly. We did an olive-oil tasting in Pula, Kokotos Estate tour in Athens, A Night at the Opera in Venice, and the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, and Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. We did walking tours in all other ports.

The cabin was vey comfortable and pristine every day, the cabin staff was wonderful and friendly. Read more
