we had booked the Heaven with a beverage and dining package. This was our 2. cruise with Norwegian, the first was on the Jade, now the Epic.

While both ships show age, the Jade was charming, even with the old carpeting and furniture.

the Epic had some renovation (carpet replacement, etc.) it still made a sad impression overall.

Cabin Review

Courtyard Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

wonderful for 2 people. The second bedroom way too small. The bed is really not for 2 adults. It was nice to have 2 bathrooms. There is enough space for hanging out with 4.

Espresso maker a big plus.

Balcony small, but ok for a suite

Port Reviews

Tenerife

We rented a car right at the terminal. It was easy, not very expensive. Drove along the gorgeous coast and visited the volcano park. Great experience

Madeira (Funchal)

We took the Hop on, Hop off bus, right at the terminal. The price of 24 Euros included the tram up the mountain, later walked thru the town, had coffee at the Ritz Carlton, great shopping, and wonderful atmosphere

Malaga

Did the same Hop on, Hop off City tour. Saw all the relevant place.

Take the shuttle from the pier to town. The walk is way longer than we all thought.

Wonderful old city

Barcelona

We ventured out on our own, Barcelona is a beautiful City. just walking thru the old town, trying some food, sitting in an outdoor cafe was lovely
