Cabin: Balcony Stateroom

My first and probably last cruise experience.

Checking onboard was delayed and was total chaos. The ship holds 4000+ guest but the staff was overwhelmed by the number of people. When I finally got to my cabin it wasn't ready so I made my way to O'Sheehan's restaurant. After sitting in the bar at O'sheehan's for 30 minutes I was informed that I had to check in first. I checked in and still hadn't received had anyone take my order. From there things just got worse.

I made my way up to the Garden Cafe [open buffet] where I found a mass of people, like me, who's staterooms were not ready. We were treated to lukewarm and cold food, in a crowded environment that many guest started referring to as "The Trough". I'd like to say things got better but they didn't. Breakfast each day consisted of cold Egg's Benedict, the eggs were cold and over poached. Or, if you'd like, runny scrambled eggs and greasy hash browns. I finally started eating cold cuts and fresh fruit for breakfast.

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BX

The cabin was okay, bed was too short [I'm 5'9", wife is 5'4"] and too hard.

Port Reviews

Miami

Crowded during arrival and disembarkation.

St. Thomas

Hustle, hurry, crowded.

Tortola

Small town, narrow streets.
