This was our 15th cruise. 4th time on Grand Princess. 1st time to the Mexican Riviera. We had an amazing time and would go again for sure! Sailing out of San Francisco, we knew at least the first couple of days would be cool. Actually this first 3-1/2 days were cold! We watched some of the football playoff games at the Movies under the stars by the pool. They provided blankets and towels but still very cool outside. There were some games that they also showed on the stateroom tv which was nice. If you are planning on this cruise, make sure to take a jacket. You will need it.

At Puarta Vallarta we swam with a sea lion. That was an AWESOME experience. We have swam with the Dolphins on several occasions and enjoy that but this was really special. They have a great personality! We were in a small group of 5 so the time with the sea lion was very fun! At Cabo San Lucas, we road a camel on a beach. Our guide Marcel was so much fun! At Mazanillo we took a taxi on our own to the Las Hadis resort where the movie 10 was filmed. The taxi ride was $15 and the day pass was $50 for both of us. Along with the day pass you get several peso tickets for drinks, towels or food. The towels were $10 each. Take your own if you can. The facility is beautiful and the pool was georgeous! We had a great time! In Mazatlan we took a taxi to the Golden zone to shop. We are a Panchos Mexican food on the beach. Great food and lots of flavored margaritas that were great.

On the ship we signed up for the chefs table. You have to sign up as soon as you get on the ship. The space is limited and fills up fast? It costs $95 each and is well worth every penny. I would highly recommend it! The sea was very rough the last two days? Our room was in the middle of the ship and wasn't too bad? We spoke to several people that had rooms are the front and they were miserable on those days. Take whatever works for you just in case you need it.
