Overall, great cruise. This was our 2nd trip on the NCL Spirit. We took this same cruise last year (in Feb. 2008). We felt the ports had a lot of options. We did completely different things this time and had another great trip. We like stopping 4 times on a 7 day cruise, even if we are worn out. You always have the option to stay aboard.

SHORE EXCURSIONS - Did a lot of research on Cruise Critic. My personal favorite is probably Guatemala. Love the people there! I wrote all about our port experiences below.

FOOD - We did notice a few changes this year (Feb. 2009). The food wasn't as good. We assumed it was because everyone is having to make cuts these days. The overall food quality was inconsistent. For dinner (Garden or Windows), there were a few great entrees that everyone raved about but the next day, you could get a stale danish on the breakfast buffet (Raffles). Food is not the reason I go on a cruise so this didn't bother me too much but I did notice a difference. They did have a decent kids menu and my kids always found something they liked. I hope that NCL does makes some chances in the food area because overall, we like NCL and the "Free Style Cruising".
