I have cruised everywhere, on just about every cruise line, really. This was the worst! The cabins are so small, even the outside cabin (which we had). They are dirty and outdated. An old clunky television took up an entire corner of the room. There were three of us, so I had to sleep in a bunk that was so close to the ceiling that I could not sit up in bed. The ladder was so narrow that you cannot put your feet together on the same step, making it very difficult to climb.
I have been on Carnival about ten times, and the service was the worst service we have ever had. We literally saw our female cabin attendant twice in the week, and that was so that she could kick us out of the room to clean. We had our belongings as we wanted them, and she literally threw everything on the small desk, making a tangled giant mess! No mints on our pillows, for sure.
I bought the cruise for my son and his girlfriend, a first time cruiser. The first night there was a giant leak from the laundry next door, and their suitcases and belongings got soaked! Carnival placed huge blowers in the room, trying to dry out the carpet. Three days later, still soaking wet! Stunk to high heaven! Had to wear flip flops while in the room. Carnival said, we don't have any other cabins to change them to, so we will compensate them. The compensation? $112 total! For a filthy stinking room with wet carpet! The kicker? The so called repair busted on night four and once again water flowed into the room!
Terribly outdated, dirty, cramped.
We always enjoy New Orleans.
Love this port, great shopping!
Our guide was very old and so slow that we didn't get to see everything or swim in the sinoche.
