Celebrity no longer lives up to their reputation and seem to have developed a caste system where only those who have traveled with them many times have access to all of the restaurants, have access to all of the services and are treated with the courtesy and respect that once was given to all on board.

Many of the things that made Celebrity special have been eliminated. Water is now a paid commodity. Flowers are missing from most of the dining areas except the " paid areas." Many of the activities that were once offered for free are now offered for a service fee. Classes in the fitness area are offered at a designated fee based on the popularity of the class. Technology classes are offered for a fee. Wine tasting classes are offered for a fee...

The shore excursions on the South American cruise we took were disappointing as many did not even stop to allow for photo opportunities. None offered water that wasn't a pay for your own option. In one case there was a mix up and two busses arrived at the same destination so our group ended up in a sheep sheering barn instead of the restaurant area getting served tea and empanadas and all we heard was," We are sorry for the mix up." The only saving grace was that the ship was very clean. Our room 6016 had plenty of storage areas and more hangers than we've ever had on a cruise and two stewards who took fabulous care of the room.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Ocean View with Balcony 2B

Cabin 2B

Our cabin had great storage but it was a bit noisy as it was closer to the front of the ship. We found it to be a stable area of the ship compared to others who seemed to experience more distress during the stormier portions of the cruise.

Port Reviews

Buenos Aires

An interesting time floating down the Tigre Delta. We got a feel for the area. Saw some pretty scenery and felt like we came back with a better understanding of the people.
