Sail Date: Oct 2015
Cabin: Deluxe Stateroom with Large Window

The cruise itself was excellent as is the expectation for Viking. The food was superb and gourmet and the service was top notch as well....however, the ship was tired and it was obvious it was the last season before it was to be retired.

A lock was not functioning so we were bussed and embarked at Vernon...none of this was Viking's fault...we assumed we would be returning to Paris the following day but it was not to be..it was decided for us to continue on to Normandy and return to Paris at the end ...that was fine...

We were most impressed, as two of the very few Canadians on the trip, that they took us to Juno Beach along with British passengers while U.S. citizens went to Omaha Beach..it was a truly moving experience for my husband and myself...the tour was unhurried and we had the opportunity to place flowers on graves at the Canadian cemetery (the name escapes me at the moment)...

Cabin Review

Deluxe Stateroom with Large Window

Cabin B

The cabin was a bit smaller than others we had experienced..it was adequate with a verandah

small table and chair...there was lots of room for clothing and personal items...the bathroom was a disappointment as we had been used to ships like the Odin...as were the older electricity outlets...but all was adequate...the longships are superior..
