Spent 8 days on the Carnival Conquest January 9-17 and with great weather had a very enjoyable time. It has been a year since my last cruise so I experienced for the first time Blue Iguana Tequila Bar and cantina , Red Frog Rum Bar, Guy's Burgers. I had interior room 7436 and it was just two stairs to coffee in the morning and two down to all activity around casino and shops.

First few days it was very cool all over the ship and last couple days it seemed to me they adjusted the AC down. I turned the thermostat in my cabin down many times so might be good idea to bring light jacket. There were few kids on the cruise and an older age group represented I guess due to being right after Christmas break. Best part of cruise for me was island steel drum music on the Lido deck each day. They played each day and a couple of sets each day and it was most enjoyable vs the DJ I experienced on past ships. I also like the island beers available at Red Frog Rum bar, nice to have an island beer while listening to island music. Noticed a slight roll of the ship every day and seemed the seas were calm but wind was blowing and don't know if that was cause or not. Never did cause any sickness but noticeable.

Ship seemed to be in good shape and the crew was very good. Food was fine for me but I am not hard to please when it comes to food. Servers were really good and they got each course served promptly as I do not like to sit for an extended time.

Cabin 4E

Perfect for one and air condition had to be turned down each day to suit my comfort level. Steward was very good.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Got tour of both sides of the island for 2.5 hours and was informative and well worth the cost $34.99.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Hired a taxi driver to go to Brimstone Fortress and drive around the island and stop at my favorite beach bar. My favorite island

San Juan

Got off ship and walked to El Moro fort which took about 30 minutes thru the Old City. Fort was really neat and enjoyed the walk. CVS right by ship but go there first as it gets too crowded later in the day.

Grand Turk

took Taxi into town for lunch and beer at good lunch spot and enjoyed cracked conch and local beer. Beautiful beach and blue water.

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Got to port at 11:40 and on boat around 1:00.
