Overall we enjoyed this cruise a lot, however, I feel that it would not been as enjoyable if it had not been for the number of ports of call (5 in a seven day cruise with only one day at sea) therefore a lot of time was not spent on the boat.

We knew going into this cruise that Jewel of the Seas is getting ready for refurbishment and therefore was likely a little rough around the edges. We were pleasantly surprised to find that it was quite clean and that the rooms were nice, although a little small.

The issue we had with the boat was related to the lack of entertainment scheduled on board and the quality of the entertainment. We had always heard that Royal Caribbean had good shows and other activities to do on board, so we were surprised by the lack of options. There was only one day at sea so we figured there would be lots of organized activities that day, however, there was very few activities listed in the ship compass that day- really only the nighttime entertainment, a bully flop competition, some exercise and a food demonstration. The rest of the days there was really nothing offered, which wasn't a huge issue for us as we spent most of the time off the boat.
