Sail Date: Jan 2016
Cabin: Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Traveling as a couple, have been on 9 cruises with Royal Caribbean.

Embarkation was surprisingly easy. We arrived @ 10:30 am and breezed right through security. The check in line was reasonable and we only had a short time in the waiting area before getting on the ship around 11:30 ish. Headed for windjammer and had no problem finding good seats.

We enjoyed the activities - especially the 70s show in the promenade -altho we have seen this many times before. Bring some bell bottoms and plan to dance if you want to appear on camera.

Cabin Review

Superior Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Room condition - 9th floor balcony

I was disappointed to find the beds were too firm and the pillows were flat-as previous reviewers stated. We asked for extra padding, but they don't have the foam egg crate pads anymore. We had to use 3 pillows each. We had two desk drawers that were broken. When we told the steward, he did get it fixed right away - but you would think someone would have noticed while cleaning the room between guests. Nice to see the TVs have been upgraded and now have the interactive system for checking your onboard account and booking excursions. Glad to see that irritating little coffee table was not in the room - its always in the way. There was a nice high table on the balcony - so coffee time in the morning was very pleasant. Our room was on port side - which did not seem to have the best views for this particular itinerary.
