Cabin: Balcony Stateroom

I've done a few cruises but this was the worse. I paid for a balcony cabin but when we arrived at our cabin it was a waste of money. We were in 10024 which didn't have glass railings but steel so when you sat in the tiny space all you saw was sky. The sliding door didn't lock and there was a noise as the wind whipped by. It took them 3 days to fix the door. I asked if we could change cabins as we wanted a view but were told " Don't you know this is a NYE cruise " um I think I knew that seeing I booked it.

But soon we met other people who booked inside cabins but when they boarded they were up graded to balcony cabins with wonderful views. How fair is that, all people who booked balcony cabins paid the same price but our cabin you can't sit and stare at the sea, yet people who paid less get the up grade to great cabins. Totally unfair. Plus the ships officers had their families on board for the cruise and they were given balcony cabins.

We booked this cruise cause it went to Casablanca BUT the day before arrival there we were told that due to the "weather " we were not going there any more but to Gibraltar. Quite a few people did some checking and found that the weather in Casablanca was fine with no troubles getting into or out of the harbor. Plus a friend of mine did the same cruise 2 years ago on the same ship at the same time of year and this happened to them as well..... strange. I know you can't control the weather but was that true or is there something else stopping the ship from going there.
