Our 30thieth anniversary needed to be something special and the advertisements for Viking Cruises looked as if a river cruise would fit the bill. Booking was easy and talking with Walter and making the arrangements was an indication that this trip would be well planned and flawless. It was.

We started with 2 days in Bruges before boarding the Baldur in Amsterdam. Everything was taken care of from our arrival at the airport in Brussells to checking into our hotel. The tours were interesting and informative and we didn't think things could get better.

When we boarded the longboat in Amsterdam our expectations were exceeded. The stateroom was roomy and comfortable and the lounge and other public rooms were beautiful and inviting. The food was incredible and the wine was so good I was glad it kept flowing at dinner.

Veranda Stateroom

Cabin B

I loved the hot showers and heated bathroom floor after a day of on shore adventures. Tomas always had our stateroom clean and orderly and ready for our arrival before and after our tours.
