I agree with the previous critics that Celebrity is declining and mostly in its daily operation. The entertainment was first class and activities were fine, except for the one magician and scheduling of the enrichment talks.

My main purpose of the trip was to go through the Panama Canal and learn as much as possible about it from the Panama Canal Lecturer. The first lecture was given by Dr. Dave and was very informative and intellectual. We were told that the second lecture was going to take place on the following day, instead a biologist was scheduled with the subject of glaciers( in the Caribbean?). Whoever was in charge of scheduling must not be knowledgeable of the Panama Canal. The theater was packed at the first lecture, so obviously that was an indication of the interest in the Panama Canal. There was one more lecture much later and days after passing the canal.

At my dinner table accompanied by a European couple, a Chilean couple, and an American couple, all shared our disappointments with the schedule. The reason for our cruise was to specifically got through the canal and learn as much as we could from an expert. Instead, we heard the biologist spend half an hour telling us about himself and his wife which could have been related in five minutes. In addition, I was not expecting to hear about the planet Mars (what a joke it was).
