This was my first cruise as a retired solo traveler. I was so impressed with the beautiful Viking ocean ship, the Star. It was the most elegant, wonderful, relaxing cruise. From the minute our plane landed in Barcelona, the Viking representatives were waiting and guided us to the bus for a quick trip to the ship. Flawless.

We were competently and graciously welcomed aboard and given our room keys. My luggage arrived quickly to my room. My room was spacious and had everything I could ever want. The ship itself was perfect. Traveling alone, I never really felt alone. Everyone was very welcoming.

There were many dining choices from elegant to informal. All the food was excellent.

Cabin Review

Cabin Penthouse veranda

Perfect in every way! It was large, had a sofa and side chair, great TV, stocked refrigerator, large closet, beautiful veranda and large bathroom. Everything was so modern, clean and just wonderful.

Port Reviews

Barcelona

Although it was foggy at Montserrat, it only added to the mystical experience!

Monaco (Monte Carlo)

A nice first trip to Monaco

Toulon

The walking tour of Touron was very nice - they still had their Christmas market open and I also enjoyed the food/flower market on the way back to the ship.
