I came off of the Dawn Cruise that was New Orleans-Cozumel-Roatan-Belize. In general, the service was spotty, cruise staff did not hold accountability, and it felt unauthentic and every seminar was trying to sell you something.

First the good: the entertainers were great, especially the comedians. On the WHOLE the service staff was very kind.

However the bad: our stateroom serviceman Loey was very unfriendly. The first day he barely even said hello to us, and when my traveling companions tried making conversation with him he was unresponsive and unexpressive. Later we came back to the room because he had not finished preparing the room when we had gotten in-- we noticed the toilet had feces smeared on the inner bowl. Hardly the way we wanted to start vacation. This was not acceptable but we wanted to give him a break since it was the first day. However, the successive days he was not any more approachable. The first and last day he did not make the towel animals for us either which I felt was a sign of him not caring about preparing the room for us as normally every night they prepare them. He never smiled, never friendly so ended up creating a very awkward tone the whole week, and the worst part the last day (which happened to also be my birthday)-- he kicked us all out unapologetically, saying we had to be out by 9 AM even though the flier we received mentioned nothing. I got the feeling he didn't like us and it left a bad taste in our mouths as we left the ship and my family was not happy but much too polite to say anything.
