I'd like to start by saying that I have spent over seven years of my life in hotels as part of my profession. Hotels don't do it for me unless they are truly outstanding!

My wife and I are also in our mid-fifties and we're (especially me!) are truly weary of the seemingly ubiquitous casual atmosphere seen everywhere. of t-shorts, flip flops and shorts.

We also are blessed enough to belong to a very nice club where the service is superb, the food better and the atmosphere comforting and gorgeous. Read more
