This was our first ever cruise . Chose our 30th wedding anniversary for this trip . We live in Sydney south west so we rode the train in . Was in awe as soon as we set eyes on the ship . Embarkation was very well organised and we were on board and settled in our stateroom sooner than expected . Started exploring the ship right away . Staff were friendly and courteous , made us feel welcome everywhere on board . Service in all areas was above and beyond my expectations .

We had an inside stateroom and it was perfect for us as we didn't plan on spending too many daylight hours in there . Clean and well maintained . The room steward was fantastic and enjoyed a chat . Loved the ports of call , so much to see . We were however disappointed with the shore excursion we took in Hobart . Not enough time to explore . We were out for 4 hours , and most of that time was sitting on the bus . Not value for the price at all . Next time will do our own thing .

No complaints back on board in the dining scene . Great variety and always delicious . Over eat much ? You bet i did . We didn't see much of the on board entertainment , mainly spent time at poolside , watching the movies or listening to piano in the Atrium or the guitar guy at Crooners . Just relaxing mainly .

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

We live in Sydneys outer suburbs so we don't visit hardly at all . It takes on a new feeling of excitement when viewed from the top deck of a cruise ship .

Melbourne

This port of call was firstly a catch up with our son who lives in Melbourne and we have been to Melb on several occasions . We did some exploring along the St Kilda waterfront and found that a great walk out with shops down one side of the road and beach on the other .

Hobart

Not enough time for exploration . We had less than an hour to visit by the time we got off the bus . Would love to have stayed longer to see ALL the animals in depth .

Hobart

Again , no time to explore an entire town . Again , less than an hour in Richmond . I picked the closest building ( which was the old gaol ) and explored that . That's all we had time for before we were back on the bus . VERY disappointed in this part of the trip .

Port Arthur

We did our own walk about and explore . Thoroughly enjoyed this part of the trip . After exploring the buildings and surrounds , we had ample time to have a nice lunch , buy some souvenirs and then to sit back and take it all in . Loved every minute .
