Our family has now taken it's 7th cruise. We all agree this cruise was the worst. We sailed with the Grand Princess last year and it was great. This time, well. No shuffleboard. We like shuffleboard. Ping pong, there were two tables that would close really early and be bolted up. The vegetarian dishes in the dining room were horrible. Like the spinach, potato flan which was frozen spinach in a lump. This was an entree for vegetarians and came on the side of the prime rib entree. My daughter has always loved kids club and tried it once and did not want to do it again on this cruise. (she is 10 now? maybe aging out.) the kids club employees seemed nice. The food was o.k. Most of the entrees and deserts in the dining room were off limits for my children aged 20-15-10. because they were prepared with alcohol. This has never been an issue in the past. I could really feel the rocking on the way back from the last port and most of our large party was ill. No towel animals. lol. The extra's and customer service just did not seem to be there.--The entertainment was great, we all agree. Even my teen boys liked it, which never happens. -We had to be back from Cabo by 12:30. Way too early. Also the pizza was really good. We bought my son a drink card that offered "Mock Tails"

That was a great deal and the best drink to order was the tropical breeze. The ports are cool. In PV we go to the Malecon and eat at the Vallerta Ocean Bar. Food is on point. Right across from the statue of creatures on a ladder. Margarita's are one buck and the beer is like .50 cents. In Mazatlan we hang at a resort in the Golden Zone and in Cabo we always snorkel in the Chilleno Bay. If this is the only ship sailing the itinerary you want then book it. It's a cruise, of course it will be nice. I would choose another ship if there are others offered. ------Not many activities, lots of little empty bars, small theater that would fill to capacity early. This ship was just not up to par compared to other cruises.

Cabin Review

Family Suite with Balcony

The cabin was pretty large. two tv's. Bedding sufficient. Balcony was nice. Bathroom with bathtub.

Port Reviews

Los Angeles

We love PV. Usually go to Malecon and shop and eat.

Puerto Vallarta

Shop at Malecon and eat! The food at Vallerta Ocean Bar is excellent

Mazatlan

It's always my favorite port. We hang at a resort and swim, eat, go the ocean.

Cabo San Lucas

We take a van to Chilleno bay. Snorkling is amazing. You can step into the protected marine preserve and the fish just swim around you. Nice.
