Sail Date: Dec 2015
Cabin: Grand Suite

This was our second time on the Jewel of the Seas. Last time we sailed with some friends and had a great time. This time did not disappoint either.

We took advantage of the WOW! promotion and decided to book a Grand Suite. The concierge, Ricardo Mock, contacted me via email prior to the cruise to assist with any excursions or specialty restaurants we wanted to book. He definitely set the mood for this cruise.

Our suite was lovely, but dated. They will be refurbishing the Jewel soon. I hope they change the pulls on the draws in the suites. They were pretty, but difficult to use.

Cabin Review

Grand Suite

Cabin GS

The cabin was a Grand Suite. It was large and quite comfortable. There was more then adequate storage space. The large closets were lighted when opened. The bathroom was large with double sinks and a bathtub. The bathtub was awkward and hard to climb into. The sleep area was separated by a curtain that offered adequate privacy. The living room and bar were well appointed. Our balcony was a good size. I would have enjoyed 2 lounge chairs on it, one was inadequate. It did have a small table and 2 chairs.

Overall, a lovely suite, it just needs refurbishment as I previously stated.

Port Reviews

St. Lucia

We walked into Castries to see the main market. It hasn't changed, except they added electricity, in 27 years (the last time I visited the island).

Antigua

We went into the Port to look around. It was lovely.
