My husband and I drove to Ft. Lauderdale and parked at the Park N Go. Good service and a great price. We arrived at the Port Everglades about 2pm and did not have too long a wait to go through the weaving line for check in. Check in was quick, rooms were ready and we headed for the Mariner Welcome party. Our room was a signature suite, 8th floor, and was spacious and well equipped. Binoculars, slippers, robes, full sized sofa, easy chair, desk, mini bar, large veranda, double sinks, shower and tub. Our steward kept our room clean and we hardly ever saw him. The decor on the Westerdam is dated and in need of upgrading, but the ship was immaculate and the crew was very attentive. We loved the BB King review(saw it 3 times), and the Illusionist. The comedian was not very good. I enjoyed the violinists(my husband, not so much), but they talked too much.Just the music, please. Food: Dining room service was good but the food was average. We were very disappointed with the desserts. Not very tasty. I suggest ice cream. Lido: Terrific salads. Personally, I had trouble understanding the crew. For the most part, their English was not very good. I would take this ship again if the price was right. This is a good ship if you want to RELAX a lot!

Good location. HOWEVER, HAL STILL lets people SMOKE on the verandas and our neighbor smoked cigars quite a bit on their veranda. They did pay for theirs, as well, so...
