this was my 17th cruise - I have certainly never had one like it and don't want another. Everything that could be wrong was wrong. When we arrived at Tilbury to board, the ship wAs not there - this has never happened to me before. To cut a long story short, the food was acceptable, nothing more. We were promised Christmas Pudding but when it arrived it wS a chocolate muffin with chocolate sauce, the mince pies were full of rhubarb. The activities and arrangements on the ship were never on time, on 3 days the morning quiz started at 10.00, 10.30 and then 9.00. The weather was bad throughout the cruise, but they would not put the stabilisers out to conserve fuel, so Magellan rolled like a drunken seaman. I had to take seasick pills throughout the whole voyage. Although I had paid £3000 for single occupancy, they still tried to make us buy drinking water at £2.20 per litre. They promised me when I booked a mid ships cabin, but it was close to the stern so I often had the noise of the engine at night.

Some of the people on board told me that they had been promised free parking for their cars, but when they got to Tilbury they found it cost £10 per day.

Thank God Iwas not on board when they sailed out across the Atlantic to go to the -Amazon, I could not wait to get off
