To start, Norwegian has just begun offering all inclusive alcohol to ALL passengers (of legal age of course) starting this year. Apparently they are the first cruise to do this and apparently the cruise I went on was the first time they have done it, so it was a learning experience for them for sure.
The Norwegian Sky is a good ship, in good condition. It is nothing brand new that will awe you on the inside (if youve been on another cruise before). I had been on a Carnival cruise before and it looked amazing on the inside. The Sky was average on the inside. Well laid out, but the vessel itself is older. That said, it is very well taken care of and very clean. Walk around at night and there are tonnes of cleaning staff all over.
Our 4 night cruise had the typical 3 stops in the Bahamas. We had unfortunate weather, which included high winds and rough waters. The boat was moving around quite a bit the first night. At first I thought I was just stumbling because I was drunk, but no, everyone was stumbling with the rock of the ship. The first 2 stops were SO windy, that we didnt have a great time at the ports. There was some on and off rain and ridiculous winds so we only got off the boat for an hour or two. The third stop at Norwegian's island was cancelled because of the rough waters and winds. This upset A LOT of people, which is understandable, but you cant predict the weather.
Did not care much for Freeport. There is not a whole lot to do unless you do an excursion of some sort.
Good shops right off the cruise but weather wasnt great so we didnt venture far.
We took a cab to Atlantis which was very unimpressive.. If you want to just walk around the resort you have to pay like $60 US, which is bull if you ask me. Atlantis is just a big money grab in my opinion.
