This was our second cruise, first with Norweigan and first time leaving NY in winter. We didn't realize it would be such a rocky trip and we felt this ship really did a lot of side to side and up and down- possibly this is normal but if we had known we probably would have chosen to leave out of Florida. Captain did warn of "pot holes" and we had a rather large bang on the first night. Captain also gave a rather lengthy speech on the use of protection - it started about about sunscreen but went somewhere else- very odd conversation from a captain on a family holiday cruise. Also over heard the waiters at pool side joking with some girls about their "virgin" frozen drinks- ew.

Thought the food was ok- pretty much same stuff different day. The Grand Pacific was nice but service was rushed. Magenta had the same menu as Grand Pacific so not really two different options. Slides were never open and pools were closed first few days I believe because the seas were rough but nothing was communicated. On sea days the bars were hard to get drinks and we noticed a few people giving cash to the staff for better service (gratuity is already added to everything).

Entertainment was excellent from the shows to Pedro and Dana. Felt the over all vibe of low energy from most of the staff. There is a constant sales pitch - another cruise, a better restaurant, a photo shoot, jewelry sale, art auction.... Even Bingo cost additional money. Guest services will get you absolutely no where- don't waste your time.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

Cabin was exactly what we expected. Nicely decorated, small. Minimum storage. Bathrooms were nice.
