Our cabin was 10644, which was a wheelchair accessible balcony on the port side, aft.   The cabin was near the elevator bank, but it was very quiet.  This cabin was a little smaller than similar cabins on other ships, but it was very comfortable.  There was plenty of storage, and everything in the room looked well maintained.  There were two 110 outlets on the vanity, and two on the wall by the far side.  Our balcony had two upright chairs and a small table and was average sized.

Great port for Texans!  Parking was really easy, and very convenient!

Houston

We did the Joy of Chocolate excursion at the Discover Mexico park.  It was very interesting and educational.  The KaoKao chocolate is delicious!  There was an opportunity to purchase a snack about two-thirds of the way through.  The beef tacos and rice were delicious!  The aerial rain dance performance was a marvel. (Great gift shop, too!)

Cozumel

We didn't book an excursion in Belize.  We had been in Belize once before, and we didn't want to repeat that excursion, even though it was a wonderful adventure.  None of the other excursions were appealing, so we took the tender into the port, and we went to lunch at the Wet Lizard.  The conch fritters were delicious, but be warned, they are spicy!  It was very hot and humid, and I wasn't feeling well, so we got back on the ship.

Belize City

Roatan was a new port for us.  We booked Tabyana Beach and Snorkel.  What a great resort!  This is the first beach excursion we have ever been on that had lifeguards!  When you first get your snorkel gear, you have to take your first swim with a guide to be sure you are safe.  They take everyone out as a group, but they went out further than I felt comfortable.  There was a guide on a kayak following the group, and when I got uncomfortable, he tossed me a tow line, and he led me back to shallower waters.  This was one of the best snorkeling experiences I have ever had.  There were TONS of all kinds of fish. Make sure you bring an underwater camera, especially on the guided swim.

This is a typically friendly Norwegian crew; lots of smiles, great senses of humor, and courteous service everywhere we went on the ship.Mirsad, the Hotel Director, was welcoming, funny, and gracious at the Meet & Greet and any time we ran into him around the ship, as was the rest of the senior crew.
