Sail Date: Dec 2015

Just returned from New Year cruise on Thomson Majesty. Have sailed with several other companies so very disappointed with Thomson. Would not go with them again. Food was extremely poor and there was no attention to detail at dinner - (for instance on other ships the waiters would always pull out your chair, put your napkin on your lap, and hand round the bread rolls). This just did not happen and you were left to help yourself to rolls left in the centre of the table, sometimes only put on the table half way through the meal. Same vegetables every night. Some meals were lukewarm and salmon dry and overcooked.

On deck the sunbeds were almost on top of one another - if you were lucky enough to get one!! Smoking areas were undefined. No curtesy bus into Funchal, which was quite a distance to walk. On other cruises I have been on to Funchal there was always a courtesy bus provided . The only time a curtesy bus was provided you had to pay £5 for the privilege.

Cabin was the smallest I have every been in. The only good thing was the entertainment, which was superb, especially the Neil Diamond singer.

Cabin Review

very small - not enough storage space.
