As this was the Maiden voyage of Norwegian Escape there were a few, if not many, teething problems. The situation was not helped by poor weather confining 3000plus passengers inside the ship.
Public spaces were simply not large enough to cope. The Atruim was used for much of the entertainment but getting a seat was near impossible - unless you got up early and reserved a seat - as often happens on deck.
Supplies for the ship had not arrived. The well advertised coffee machines were in the cabin but the coffee pods had not arrived in Southampton to be loaded. Many cocktails were unable to be made as some ingredients had not arrived.
