We took this cruise with our adult son and his girlfriend to celebrate my birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary. We chose this cruise solely on the basis of it fitting into our very tight booking schedule. We have cruised previously on other lines.

Starting on a positive note....Food in main dining room is good and the 'my time' dining was perfect for our needs. We had the same waitstaff every evening, and the night we celebrated my birthday and our 30th wedding anniversary he surprised us by serenading us on his guitar in the dining room! Really a special moment we so appreciated...thank you Fernando. Our room (1587) was bigger than expected for an interior room and nicely furnished. Elena our housekeeper kept the room immaculate and surprised us nightly with a variety of towel animals! Several of the bartenders and bar waitstaff were exceptional and attentive. Ship was very clean at all times and everywhere you went on board no matter the hour of the day.

And now the disappointing....food in the Windjammer was plentiful but overcooked...lots of steam table fare that was not appetizing to see or eat. Bar staff reaction to passengers was very mixed....some went out of their way to speak and make eye contact and visit your table frequently....others had to be flagged down and seemed annoyed when you wanted to order a beverage.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin Q

Surprisingly larger than expected...plenty of storage for clothing, etc. Kept immaculately clean at all times and was incredibly quiet.
