After reading the terrible reviews and having terrible pre-cruise customer service, I was dreading taking my mother and my aunt on the Pacific Aria for an early 80th birthday present. We had even arranged an early departure and alternative itinerary so all was not lost. however to our great delight the experience was great from start to unfortunate early finish.

The service on embarkation was excellent and we were quickly in our very nicely appointed balcony rooms. There was evidence that they had had some problems with flooding at times but clearly they had been working hard to rectify things. We were very pleased with the rooms and while not perfect my very short elderly mother and aunt managed the shower with not too much trouble given well placed hand grips.

The decor of the ship was lovely. We have recently been on a Silversea cruise and it was superior to this. Read more
