Volendam IV - The old gal is starting to show her age, but still has a strong heart and made all that much stronger by being staffed with a very competent/loyal crew. The staff throughout all departments made our 28-day cruise all an enjoyable occasion.
She's now been around some 16 years and is still dressed in 1990 styles, but they keep her well maintained and we found she only has a few warts showing.
Our cabin was on deck 7 and we found the location to be very good. Our cabin attendants (JoJo & Jan) went well beyond the level of service we were expecting. We frequently ate in the Lido, as they normally had the same menu as the main dining room - without all the limitations the main dining room places on you. The Lido staff were very good, with some being outstanding, especially Annisa - who is credit to HALs level of service.

Verandah Suite
Excellent location. Although did get some noticeable droning noise from a nearby ventilation shaft, but found it to be somewhat of a background "white noise" while sleeping - which was good. Cabin was in very good condition and we had only one minor plumbing concern and it was immediately addressed.
