Sail Date: Dec 2015

The following is a review of our December 18, 2015 to January 2 2016, Hawaiian Island cruise on the Princess Ruby.

I find it very confusing when reading comments by past cruisers on their experiences on a ship, what one person described as their best cruise; another found the experience never to be repeated. After some two decades of cruising I came to the conclusion that one of the most important aspects how a cruise is rated by a person depends on their expectation.

Although the ship is nine years old it has been recently refurbished and it is in a very good condition. It is a large ship with 3,599 passengers and a crew of 1,200. The cabins are quite well equipped and we found the balcony unusually large compared to other ships.
