I need to start by saying that my husband was sick a majority of this cruise, so my opinion will be a little tainted. We got flu shots prior to trip, but he still got Type A Flu. After he got "well" he must have gotten a touch of the Norovirus that hit the ship. We didn't partake of a lot.
I took the bait and let the ship assign my mini-suite; wrong! We had Caribe 205; right up front. 2 nights the seas were so rough and we felt it big time. Also, everything was a hike. The cabin was nice.
The service on the ship was great. I have taken Holland America and the people on this ship were much nicer. I never asked a question that I didn't find someone eager to help (except in the gift shop). The captain was available and personable. He even officiated at the Christmas non-denominational service and I loved it.
Too far forward if there are any rough seas. Also, it is a long way to walk to everyplace. It is a nice room. We were comfortable.
We took a tour of the ship while in San Pedro. It is very interesting if you enjoy history, which we do. I would highly recommend it.
The dive site is crowded, but the dive company was pretty good. It might be better, if you dive a lot, to book with someone who will take you away from the crowds.
Nice little shopping excursion.
It was New Year's Eve and there were 3 ships in port and everyone in Columbia was visiting. It was just too crowded and too much traffic to really enjoy. I would be interested in returning when it isn't a holiday.
great views
Just wandered the town since we had been there before. It is clean and safe and a nice place to visit. We would have loved to dive, but we could not because of health. The water is the best reason to go to Cayman!
Disembarkation was a breeze. If you have to go to the airport, don't arrange transportation. Just get a cab. It is only $16 and they are everywhere--no waiting!
