Sail Date: Dec 2015
Cabin: Interior Stateroom with Virtual Balcony

As we had not long ago got off the Explore of the Seas just 16 days prior we new a lot of what to expect. Sailed from Southampton to Sydney 58 days then this cruise for my partners birthday.

On the Southampton to Sydney we had the Noravirus most of the time some sections worst than others, it was % back to Backs & every turn around section we had to leave the ship so it could be sanitised, may the RCL need to look more into the way they do that.

Cruise Director is hopeless & needs to buy a new suit & also look for new jokes & the shows they give you are not much better. On the 58 days cruise he repeated the last act from the previous segment as the first act on the new segment & 120 passengers did the whole 58 days & some sections we had over 400 returning passengers

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom with Virtual Balcony

Cabin J

Loved this cabin at first the Virtual Balcony a very large TV screens like having a proper balcony the camera is at the rear of the ship, at night you have heavy curtains to pull over the screen & block out the light till you are ready to get up.

AS we were doing the 58 day cruise we booked the same room mid ship & close to every thing you needed.

But with Norovirus on the ship the pools & spa were cleaned & scrubbed every second day & always the night before a port the start about10.30 pm & go till 2.30 am dragging tools & boxes or chairs around the floor & draining the pools & the pipes runs down the back of several cabins & ours was one of the also 9291 has this problem.

The head staff at guest services were very understanding & for this cruise were able to give us another cabin for with we are very grateful.

Port Reviews

Isle of Pines (New Caledonia)

I Love isle of Pines it is so relaxing & you can walk anywhere, just a pretty island no need for a tour

Noumea

Great shopping at the markets & a change to be there not on a Sunday when all is closed
