This was our second cruise with Celebrity and it was not close to the superb standards of the Celebrity Cruise in October to New England/Canada. So many issues and lots of little things that made this an OK but not great cruise. Foremost was the docking so far away from cities and the requirement to pay to get into "town". Shame that such a quality cruise line does not offer a free ride into town when docked so far away. Of particular irritation was docking at Phu By instead of Ho Chi Minh city. There was another cruise line docked in the city and wonder why Celebrity could not come into town as well.

Internet on board was pathetic. Shows were good to great except for a violinist on New Year's Eve. Cruise director was good and food in Blu was superb, along with wait staff. Staterooms were good along with attendants. No Chaplain on board for Christmas. Lots of children running "wild" on the ship. Dock in Hong Kong requires a very, very long walk to get on and off. Ports of call were spot on.

Port Reviews

Hong Kong

Fog and light misty rain had set in so was not worth the time and effort to visit for us. Would be great during the day or on a clear evening

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Excellent tour guide and excursion.

Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon)

Long trip to tunnels from Phy By. Very, very crowded on a Saturday. Hard to move without running into another group. Still good excursion.

Bangkok (Laem Chabang)

Great experience.

Singapore

Interesting and informative. Worth the cost and effort.
