I went on this cruise over the New Years' holiday with a group of 14 including myself. Overall everyone had a great week! The group consisted of all age groups, 2 children, 1 teenager, 3 young adults, 6 adults, and 2 seniors. The 14 of us all fit into 4 interior staterooms, we knew this would be a squeeze to start but were shocked with how small they were. We had hoped for a balcony but due to the late bookings could not receive them. Was not ideal but we made it work, bathroom was a good size though.
Most everyone enjoyed the food, I thought the beef and steak dishes I received were amazing. We had set up reservations for 6:30 every night in the Garden Dining Room, but on two occasions when we showed up they did not have the tables for us. After this we went to the Windows Dining Room and we found them much more accommodating and attentive, even without reservations.
The pool area was always crowded, and at most times it was difficult to find space in the hot tubs. We found the nightly shows very enjoyable and went to them all. I thought that there could be some more additional activities and entertainment and the cruise director was not that involved. The New Years (Eve) celebration was very fun! We enjoyed the dancing parties throughout the week in the Galaxy and nightclub. The ship is older and could use a face lift. The ports were amazing and embarkation/disembarkation went smoothly for the most part.
Very small. With two adults and two young adults (19 and 20), it was quite the squeeze. There were two twin beds, a bunk, and a trundle bed. This made it so there was only 1 bed to put suitcases under. There were only 4 small drawers, and minimal closet storage.
Easy on and off for the most part. Minor delays for embarkation due to ship repositioning and computer problems. Very quick and smooth disembarkation.
Very nice tour of the Chacchoben Mayan ruins. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Beautiful stop at the Bacalar lagoon with great authentic food. The port itself had a nice pool with swim up bar and beach chairs (all free).
I would recommend doing the intro to scuba! The opportunity to try it without spending the money to be certified even if you decide you hate it. I personally loved the experience but the tour seemed very rushed.
Probably one of the best experiences of my life. I would highly recommend going to the Irie Blue Hole. So beautiful and thrilling. We all got to jump off some small cliffs and repel down a waterfall.
Beautiful island. There are beach chairs, clam shells ($), floaties ($), snorkeling gear ($), small shops, and food (free, from the ship). The group I was with enjoyed just laying in the sun, and swimming in the beautiful water.
