We were on this cruise, with my husband, sibling and his spouse, and their child, and despite some major disappointments, there were a lot of positives.
The Positives:
The embarkation was one of the easiest embarkations I've ever experienced. While it may have been helpful for some of the sales - drink packages, dining packages, corkage fee payment, etc., to be available while you wait, there was NO wait, which is a first.
Very tight, no drawers, and clothings stored on shelves. A lot of hangers. Nice design, and bed was ok. Bathroom pleasant surprise, very room by cruise ship standard.
Took a taxi to Magens Bay, it was beautiful. Taxi is $8 per person. Much better than taking a tour, as very relaxing. Taxi to town, for lunch and shopping. Ship Shore excursion staff could not provide a map, nor tell us the cost to ferry to St. John, nor any taxi information. Essentially, if you opt not to take a tour, they were not helpful.
Overbooked. Caves over 1 hour, which meant you were stuck in a cave. Shore excursion did not prepare sufficiently preparation. Tips: wear water shoes, preferably hiking/water shoe combo, travel light
Walked around town. Shopping prices better than ship.
