From the minute we entered the terminal we knew this would be a typical, wonderful cruise on Freedom of the Seas. "Mike", our boarding agent waved his sign and said "come on over" in the most pleasant, welcoming way possible and the experience went uphill from there. The staff at the Windjammer was great, the food was great, the bloody Marys (oops) were great and the cabin was immaculate.
Casey Pelter was just great as a cruise director. He was funny, entertaining and didn't just go through the motions but really was engaged with the guests. Our cabin attendant "Adi" was perfect. He couldn't do enough for his guests and you could tell he liked his job. In the restaurant, Christopher and "Te" were the best wait staff combination I've seen in a long time and I would rate them as beyond excellent. Our dining room manager, Ronrigo", was one hundred percent on top of things and made sure the room was run perfectly. He did this with humor and by being pleasant as evidenced by the smiles on his employees, something unheard of in food services. They all respected and more important, LIKED him.
Basically the shows were fantastic, the meals were great and the people were great. The ship was clean as a whistle and we can't wait to go on our third cruise on Freedom (we leave on the Brillance of the Seas in April).
Perfect. We usually stay in Junior suites but this was fantastic as well.
We live 45 minutes away so it is very convenient but from the parking attendant to the luggage porters to the security people and greeters, everyone in Port Canaveral was nice.
The people were great, t he food at the Green House was great, the tenders ran on time and the shopping was fun.
Take the water taxi and drink an ice cold Red Stripe beer. What a nice ride to a beautiful downtown area. We would go again in a heartbeat.
