We sailed on the Crown Princess a few years back and really enjoyed this ship. This time around, although there were some exceptions, we felt the ship has been downgraded from a plush ship to a mediocre ship. The staff ws friendly, but we didn't feel very wanted. We have cruised 10 times with Princess and with the exception of one other time, we have always felt we were welcomed on board. We were in the owner's suite and Princess has a long way to go to even get close to how people in a suite should be treated. We have cruised on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity in Suites. They know how to treat Suite Guests.
I'm afraid that Princess will not be seeing us on their ships unless they have a really good deal and we feel we can live with the "Carnival Treatment" on Princess.
We stayed at the Hyatt in Long Beach and it was a great location because there is a lot of restaurants around there and activities. It is very near the Queen Mary.
This was a very nice room but the bedroom was small. They could have evened out the space between the living area and the bedroom and it would have been perfect.
We took a private tour and had a wonderful time. Had lunch at a small Hotel in the hills.
Nice tour. Not a lot to see between the dock and the town we visited.
Stayed at the Hyatt on Long Beach. Great place to stay. Lots to do and see right around the hotel.
