This was my wife and I's 3rd Cunard cruise, and 2nd time on the QM2 (first time eastbound transatlantic crossing in May 2015).
We are probably the youngest independent (of our own accord AKA no family history) "Cunarders" ever at age 24 and 22. We like the more mature atmosphere in general, especially dressing up for dinner and having a quieter vacation/holiday.
We truthfully were hoping our 3rd cruise would be on a different line, but we wanted to go away for Christmas, not have to deal with planes (living in CT), and go somewhere warm at a decent price, and behold the Caribbean Celebration on QM2 offered everything we wanted.
Sheltered Balcony on Deck 5 near Stairway D. Never had any noise issues (especially being near stairway). Room was always clean. Great steward; fulfilled all of our requests and even got our deck chair/replaced fixed when it broke (corrosion on one of the joints). Balcony showing signs of wear but still nice. No odd vibrations or odors. Loved going in "the back way" to dinner as it avoided the crowds.
Convenient to anything towards the back of the ship. Long walk to everything else.
Great time on the Castaway Girl exploring a Shipwreck Cove with lots of marine life and coral.
Sky Safari Ziplining was a bunch of fun. The staff were fun and the zip lines had incredible views.
The tour of the island was essentially pointing out a lot of obvious things with a few fun facts but stopped at a lot of very touristy gift shops. The distillery tour was amazing though and we loved the experience there.
Awesome island, great infrastructure in port, went to Maho Beach to watch plane lands at Princess Juliana International Airport. Shame there was no shore excursion that went there.
The infrastructure for the Cruise Terminal is still under development but looks to be really great when finished. The island itself was relatively easy to get around on. We rented a Jeep for a good price and saw a ton on our own.
Great Cruise Terminal...really tricky to get to.
