Sail Date: Dec 2015
Cabin: Signature Superior Verandah Suite

I booked this cruise because of the rate I got for the Signature Suite. We have only sailed RCCL and it came down to this or the Anthem. However, after I was able to get a decent air fare, I chose HAL. I must say that as a first timer, I found the posts on Cruise Critic super helpful.

Issues were several. Our cabin on deck 6 was in a good location, and luckily the closest smokers were below us, so we could use the balcony, which was huge. We loved it. Our cabin needed a better cleaning when we arrived, and after I complained, it was quickly corrected. After that we had great service all week. The head of housekeeping came by to check as well.

I had room service each morning which came promptly. The eggs had a funny taste, but I appreciated the coffe and juices. We had lunch in the room twice as well, and it was fine.

Cabin was decent size, and we appreciated the large bathroom. We loved the balcony. Location was near elevators as well.
