I booked this cruise because of the rate I got for the Signature Suite. We have only sailed RCCL and it came down to this or the Anthem. However, after I was able to get a decent air fare, I chose HAL. I must say that as a first timer, I found the posts on Cruise Critic super helpful.

Issues were several. Our cabin on deck 6 was in a good location, and luckily the closest smokers were below us, so we could use the balcony, which was huge. We loved it. Our cabin needed a better cleaning when we arrived, and after I complained, it was quickly corrected. After that we had great service all week. The head of housekeeping came by to check as well.

I had room service each morning which came promptly. The eggs had a funny taste, but I appreciated the coffe and juices. We had lunch in the room twice as well, and it was fine. Read more
