This was a smaller cabin than the other Category 6 cabins we had booked.  Definitely avoid Cabin 206 in favour of its neighbouring 204, for a roomier experience.  Otherwise, perfectly clean, quiet, and well appointed.

Only a few of our group disembarked in Bali.  December in Bali is hot and humid... it was far more comfortable sitting by the Captains Club, cocktail at hand, enjoying a good book.  Those who did go ashore, quickly returned.  Being Christmas, it was busy and crowded.

The food is a main topic of conversation amongst our family group and other guests onboard, and is one of the things that you should consider if you are considering booking a cruise aboard the Astor.This is where the two restaurants Ubersee – casual buffet, and Waldorf – main dining room, are located, as well as the pool deck and the late night, intimate Hanse Bar.
