We left Houston late due to fog and so missed Costa Maya. First night seas were "roly poly" (Captain's words) but the weather cleared once we arrived in Roatan. Due to our delay, we were unable to make Mahogany Bay in Roatan and instead had to tender in from the other side of the island which is not as "tourist ready". Our snorkeling in Roatan with Jolly Roger was very nice, although a little overcrowded in the water. The small area accessible to those not taking excursions was evidently loud and overwhelming.

Our day in Belize was fun, as my husband and daughter went SCUBA diving and my son and I went to Bacab for the horseback riding. My husband and daughter raved about the SCUBA and although my son and I had a nice time on our ride, it was a very crowded tour...too many horses/riders in too narrow a path and I narrowly missed falling from my horse due to the quick actions of one of the guides.

Our last day in Cozumel was a hot one as my kids and husband when to Passion Island for a great day and I went to the shopping center at then end of the dock. I've been to Cozumel several times and was mildly disappointed, as it was a sanitized, over-commercialized Mexico/Not Mexico experience...however, I think it was a relief to my mother-in-law who was a little overwhelmed in Roatan and Belize.

Cabin BE

Cabin was fine...purser not as attentive as we have had before. I had to leave a note to have dirty stemware and dishes removed. Seemed inconvenienced when I asked for assistance.

Port Reviews

Belize City

The staff that took us from the port to the park and the staff at the park were very accommodating, gracious, and friendly as was EVERYONE I met in Belize.

Belize City

Very crowded and muddy. Too many people for one excursion. I had a nearly calamitous fall due to overcrowding but was saved by Clifton (who is now my very best friend).
