I agree that a negative response to this ship is warranted. Just 2 years ago the captain of the Enchantment of the Seas said at the Top Tier party that "Unlike Carnival Cruise Line, we don't hang you upside down and shake your money loose." However take the daily Cruise compass on this ship and redact everything connected with them making money and there will not be much left of the 4 pages for the average person to do, nor will there be any place to sit and simply enjoy the cruise. Public space has been usurped for "Specialty" restaurants which were hugely under utilized. Most entertainment was done in the very small Centrum while a big lounge remained largely unused. Thank goodness we had the Top Tier lounges to sit in as there was not many other places for us inside where we could sit quietly, chat and simply enjoy the cruise itself.

On the positive side... Christmas was well done... great decorations throughout the ship and the dinner was excellent... especially the turkey and plum pudding. The Production shows were very good with excellent stage singers and band while the dancers bounded about gracefully... some of the rented entertainment was at best average.

Our experience with the service was one of polite indifference from them... we had to ask for things to happen, mostly several times. Our cabin steward was very laid back... room serviced as late as 1:30 pm with a few forgotten elements but cabin overall was very clean.
