Traveled with children

After reading several negative reviews I do not know what those travelers want from this beautiful ship. Food and service was excellent. Wonderful for families with children and the staff made this a very special time for them. We had no issues with the lifts and this was a full ship. Cabin was comfortable with plenty of hanging space. The ships interior is beautiful, much more subtle than the older ships in decor with some lovely artwork.

We travelled from London gatwick to Barbados on Thomson Dreamliner and upgraded to premium which we all enjoyed and made the journey more comfortable especially for the children. Transfers were quick as was the boarding process onto Britannia.

We chose freedom dining as we had children from 16 months to 8 years in our party. Waiters were very kind and friendly and patient with the children who liked to order their own food. The main restaurants offer a children's menu as well as the main menu. The horizon buffet was well laid out with plenty of seating despite this cruise being fully booked.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Cabin to the rear of the ship. Near lift and stairs. Cabin was well looked after by our steward. Shower room and cabin space and storage more than adequate for two.

Port Reviews

Barbados

Went to paynes bay by bus for a dollar each way

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Took taxi to 7 mile beach, perfect spot for relaxing and soaking up,the sun

Aruba

Went to palm beach, beautiful sandy beach, clean and a cheap taxi ride from the ship.

Ocho Rios

Took taxi to dunns river falls then on to beach, great trip and cheaper than a ship excursion.

Tortola

Took bus to cane garden bay had great time, hired stand up paddle boards, great fun

Antigua

Took taxi to dark wood beach which was lovely with a family run restaurant offering sun beds etc.

Grenada

Took water taxi to grand anse beach had great fun with water sports on offer at reasonable prices, be sure to negotiate.

Dominica

It rained during the morning and as we had been here before did not do any trips. Had it have been sunny we would have gone to the beach about 20 mins away by taxi.

St. Maarten

Took the water taxi to the beach. Lots of people offering sun bed rentals. Good beach with good shopping too.
