Of the 5 cruises I've taken, 4 have been on RCI. With each of those cruises the quality of the food has decreased and the sales noise has increased. This revenue squeeze has finally showed me I need to move on from RCI. I do appreciate many of the things RCI does right but for me the food and general ambiance are two big factors.

This was a Christmas Cruise I took with just a few family members. We selected this cruise primarily for the itinerary. The majority of the ports were new to us and that was appealing. Additionally, I had been on the Jewel of The Seas once before and found it to be a nice size with great artwork and a better maintained solarium than the other RCI radiance-class ships I have been on. This is still true even in it's pre-refurbishment state today.
